Glenn Bedingfield has clarified that his blog was entirely his own initiative and not directed or influenced by the Labour Party, addressing speculation that has surrounded his online writings. In a statement, Bedingfield insisted that the views and content published on his blog were conceived and managed by him personally, reflecting his own opinions and analysis rather than any official party line.

He explained that the blog was created as a personal platform to comment on political and current affairs, and that he has always maintained editorial independence in deciding what to write. Bedingfield stressed that while he has been associated with Labour in the past, his work as a blogger should not be seen as an extension of the party’s communication strategy.

The clarification comes amid ongoing debate about the role of political blogs and their connections to party politics, with some critics suggesting that his writings were coordinated with Labour interests. Bedingfield firmly denied those claims, stating that any such suggestions are unfounded and misrepresent the nature of his work.

He added that he takes full responsibility for everything published on his blog and that its purpose has always been to provide his own perspective on issues he considers important.
