The long-stalled Metropolis project, affectionately known as the “big hole,” is finally moving forward in Gżira, Malta. This ambitious development will feature three towers, including a 33-story residential tower, a 27-story office tower, and a 13-story residential tower, along with a central plaza, shops, and restaurants. The project, initially approved in 2009, had been delayed due to financing and permitting issues. However, work resumed in February 2023, with completion expected by 2027. The development promises to transform the Gżira skyline and offer stunning views of Valletta and the surrounding harbors.
