Malta is set to contribute to the European Union’s loan to Ukraine, with reports indicating the country will pay around €8 million in interest by 2028. This comes as the EU is providing significant financial support to Ukraine, with a loan package of up to €45 billion, backed by immobilized Russian assets. The EU has already disbursed €3 billion to Ukraine as part of this support, aiming to help the country address urgent budgetary needs and maintain macroeconomic stability.
