This new direction replaces the previous focus on public health resources, such as vaccine and testing information, with a narrative that supports President Donald Trump’s long-standing claim that COVID-19 originated in a Wuhan laboratory. The website, titled “Lab Leak: True Origins of COVID-19,” presents a five-point argument aimed at bolstering this theory, which has gained traction in certain political circles but remains hotly debated among scientists and public health experts.
The revamped website criticizes previous pandemic responses, such as lockdowns and mask mandates, calling them ineffective and questioning their necessity. It also targets prominent figures like former President Joe Biden, Dr. Anthony Fauci, and the World Health Organization (WHO) for alleged failures in handling the pandemic. According to the website, the lab leak theory is supported by evidence, including the presence of a SARS research lab in Wuhan and reports of researchers exhibiting COVID-like symptoms in the fall of 2019.
This development comes after a US intelligence report concluded that there was insufficient evidence to definitively support either the lab leak or natural origin theories.
