Gozo and Comino contributed 4.3% to Malta’s national GDP at market prices in 2024, amounting to €992.9 million. The regions’ gross value-added increased by 10.4% and 8.7% respectively, with Gozo’s GDP per capita standing at 59.8% compared to Malta’s 103%. The islands are more dependent on public spending than Malta, with public administration and defence being significant contributors to Gozo’s economy.
