In cooperation with the Santa Luċija Local Council, the China Cultural Centre in Malta is scheduled to present this year’s Spring Fair on April 26, Saturday. From 11 hours hence, happening at 2 pm. The event seeks to honor the lively dance between Maltese and Chinese cultural customs at the beautiful Chinese Garden of Serenity.
Offering guests a mix of music, performance, and customary artistry, the fair guarantees a vibrant and engaging event. Throughout the morning, visitors will view shows of Chinese calligraphy, appreciate the beauty of Hanfu—China’s traditional costume style—and taste a variety of real Chinese cuisine.
The festivities also match World Taiji Day, which is scheduled on the last Saturday of April every year. To honor this, the show will highlight the unique combination of grace, physical strength, and meditating motion found in Taiji in Taiji displays by experts from both Chinese and Maltese communities.
The Aurora Folk Dance group from Gozo will grace the stage to show Maltese culture via traditional dance, therefore contributing to the multiculturalism. Younger performers from the Malta Piano Academy will also present a concert that mixes classical sophistication with youthful ability.
The event, therefore, presents a venue where shared tradition and artistic expression can be honored in balance and thereby reflects the deepening cultural bonds between China and Malta.
