The new routes will connect Malta to Gothenburg in Sweden, Newcastle in the UK, Palma in Spain, and Tirana in Albania, offering passengers more travel options and increased connectivity to key European destinations. This expansion is part of Ryanair’s $900 million investment in Malta, which includes the addition of a ninth aircraft and increased frequencies on over 40 existing routes. The airline expects to grow its Malta traffic by 20% to 6 million passengers in 2026, supporting over 4,700 local jobs.
