The individual, whose identity hasn’t been disclosed, worked for a company developing blockchain technology. He exploited his access to download the source code and went on to launch a competing cryptocurrency, causing significant financial harm to his former employer.The court took a serious view of the breach of trust, handing down a custodial sentence.
