The body, belonging to a man, was found in an advanced state of decomposition, indicating it had been in the water for several days. Authorities have not yet identified the individual and are awaiting autopsy results to determine the cause of death. Magistrate Dr. Joseph Mifsud has been informed and has appointed experts to assist with the inquiry.
