In a remarkable display of community spirit, water polo players and divers have removed a staggering 430kg of debris from the seabed off Sliema, Malta, following the passage of Storm Harry. The effort, part of a clean-up operation, highlights the dedication of local sports teams to preserving Malta’s marine environment. The debris, mostly consisting of discarded waste and storm-dashed items, posed a risk to marine life and the area’s ecosystem.
