Marsa Drug Bust Two Suspects Arrested in Overnight Raids

Two men were arrested in separate police operations in Marsa, Malta, on suspicion of possessing synthetic cannabis intended for trafficking. The arrests took place on Saturday, with the first occurring at around 1 am in the Sqaq il-Ġerrejja area, where police found eight sachets of suspected synthetic cannabis on a 30-year-old man from Ħal Far. A subsequent search of his residence uncovered more suspected cannabis, approximately €3,000 in cash, and other items linked to drug trafficking. The second arrest happened around 9 am in the Belvedere Garden area, where a 30-year-old Marsa resident was found with a significant amount of cash, prompting further investigation.
