A preliminary court hearing has been set for February 23 regarding the dispute between Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Kylian Mbappe. The hearing is related to Mbappe’s claim of โฌ55 million in unpaid wages and bonuses, which PSG has refused to pay. The French football league (LFP) had ordered PSG to pay Mbappe, but the club has contested this decision, taking the case to the Paris judicial court.
The dispute between Mbappe and PSG began in September 2024, after Mbappe left the club for Real Madrid on a free transfer. Mbappe claims he was sidelined and forced to train with players PSG intended to offload after refusing to agree to a new contract. PSG, on the other hand, argues that Mbappe acted unfairly by concealing his decision not to extend his contract, depriving the club of a potential transfer fee. The outcome of the hearing is expected to have significant implications for both parties.
