The National Performing Arts Agency (NAPA) in Malta has marked a significant milestone in the country’s cultural journey by employing full-time professional artists in its national companies for the first time. This development is part of NAPA’s 2025/26 season program, which aims to strengthen creative expression and provide a clear vision for the country’s arts sector. The agency manages and supports three national companies: KorMalta, Teatru Malta, and Å»finMalta, each maintaining its artistic identity while encouraging innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration.

This new season promises to be an exciting one, with a diverse program featuring music, theater, and contemporary dance performances. The season will include 25 performances in Malta and Europe, showcasing the country’s rich cultural heritage. Teatru Malta is also preparing to celebrate its 10th anniversary with events on a national and international scale, including a showcase of performances from European countries and an international project that will provide a platform for the cultural sector in Malta to stand out globally.

The launch of NAPA’s 2025/26 season program is a testament to the country’s commitment to promoting the performing arts and providing opportunities for professional artists. With this development, Malta’s national arts companies are poised to reach new heights, showcasing the country’s vibrant cultural scene to both local and international audiences.
