Tragedy Strikes Canadian School: Nine Killed in Mass Shooting

A devastating mass shooting occurred at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School in British Columbia, Canada, leaving nine people dead, including the suspected shooter, and 25 others injured. The incident took place on February 10, 2026, around 1:20 p.m. local time, prompting a swift response from law enforcement and emergency services. The suspected shooter, described as a female in a dress with brown hair, was found dead with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The victims include six people found deceased inside the school, one who died en route to the hospital, and two others discovered at a connected residence. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) confirmed that there is no ongoing threat to the public, and the shelter-in-place order has been lifted. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney expressed his devastation and condolences to the families and friends of the victims, praising the bravery of first responders.
