Thailand is still going ahead with military strikes on Cambodia, despite President Trump’s attempt to broker a truce. Trump claimed Thailand and Cambodia had agreed to stop fighting, but Thailand’s Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul denied this, saying they’ll keep taking military action until there’s no more threat to their land and people.
Cambodia says Thailand’s used F-16 fighter jets to attack its territory, causing around half a million people to flee and at least 20 deaths. Trump had tried to mediate this conflict, which has been going on for years, and had previously gotten them to agree to a ceasefire in July and October. The fighting continues, with both sides blaming each other.
