The owner of a Swiss bar where 40 people died in a fire during New Year’s celebrations has revealed that a service door was locked from the inside. Jacques Moretti, co-owner of the Constellation bar in Crans-Montana, told investigators he discovered the locked door after the fire and had to force it open, finding several people behind it. The incident has raised questions about safety protocols and emergency preparedness, with investigations ongoing into the cause of the fire, reportedly linked to sparklers igniting soundproofing foam.
