A recent case involving the importation of cannabis has led to a jail sentence for the accused. Although the specifics of the sentence and importation details vary, two separate incidents highlight the severity of drug trafficking laws. In one instance, a man was involved in importing a substantial amount of cannabis. However, the exact quantity mentioned in the query, four kilograms, matches a case where two individuals, including a man and his brother-in-law, were apprehended with approximately four kilograms of cannabis intended for sale in Kozhikode. The Vadakara police seized the drugs from the residence of one of the accused.

In another case, a 40-year-old Romanian citizen residing in Germany was remanded in custody for importing 10 kilograms of cannabis grass from Sicily. Nicu-Cristinel Stirbu faced charges of drug trafficking and aggravated possession of cannabis, appearing before magistrate Victor Asciak. These incidents demonstrate the serious consequences of engaging in drug trafficking and possession, with law enforcement agencies actively working to prevent such activities.
