Zach Vella, the ultra-marathon runner, has reached France in his ambitious London-to-Malta charity run, completing the first week of his challenge. Vella started his 2,700-kilometer journey from London’s Mahatma Gandhi Hall at the Indian YMCA on Sunday, aiming to raise €120,000 for YMCA Malta to support its efforts in expanding its drop-in centre and shelter services. He’s averaging around 60 kilometers a day and is expected to complete the journey in six weeks, arriving in Malta in mid-May.
