A Swedish man has revealed he backed out of a plot to attack the Israeli embassy in Denmark due to a change of heart. The 21-year-old Swede, who was hired for the grenade attack, told a Copenhagen court that he got cold feet at the last minute when he realized the target was the Israeli embassy. He and an accomplice, an 18-year-old who was 16 at the time, had been given an address in the Danish capital to attack.

The accomplice admitted to throwing the grenades, but they were lobbed into the yard of a neighboring house instead of the embassy. The teen told the court he was recruited by Swedish criminal network Foxtrot when he was just 12 years old and had also shot at the Israeli embassy in Stockholm the day before. The incident has raised concerns about the activities of the Foxtrot network and their alleged involvement in attacks on Israeli targets.
