Telecoms operator GO has reported higher revenue for the latest period, but pre-tax profits have declined compared to the previous year.

The company said top-line growth was driven by stronger demand across its mobile, broadband, and business services, along with continued investment in network infrastructure. Customer numbers remained steady, and new product offerings helped boost sales, particularly in data and enterprise solutions.

Despite the rise in revenue, pre-tax profits slipped due to increased operating costs. GO pointed to higher energy prices, inflationary pressures, and spending on network upgrades and digital services as key factors weighing on margins. Depreciation and financing costs also contributed to the drop in profitability.

Management noted that the results reflect a period of transition as the company continues to modernize its systems and expand its service portfolio. Executives emphasized that the revenue growth shows underlying demand remains solid, and that cost-management measures are being put in place to improve efficiency going forward.

For shareholders, the mixed results highlight both opportunity and challenge. While the company is generating more sales, maintaining profitability will depend on controlling expenses in an environment of rising input costs. GO said it remains focused on long-term growth and on delivering improved returns once the current investment cycle eases.
