The Chamber of Engineers has launched its State of the Profession survey, an initiative aimed at gathering valuable statistical insights into the current conditions and experiences of engineers working across Malta. The survey seeks to provide a comprehensive overview of the engineering sector by collecting information on employment trends, working conditions, salaries, professional development and future outlook.
According to the Chamber, the data collected will help to better understand the challenges and opportunities faced by professionals in the field, as well as to identify areas where support and advocacy are most needed. It is intended to give a clearer picture of how the profession is evolving in response to technological change, market demands and new regulations.
The Chamber has encouraged all engineers to take part in the survey, stressing that broad participation is essential to ensure that the results are accurate and representative of the entire profession. The findings will be used to inform policy discussions, guide initiatives aimed at strengthening the engineering community and support efforts to promote the value of engineering to society.
This annual exercise is seen as a key tool for shaping the future direction of the profession and for ensuring that the voices of engineers are heard at a national level.
