Bolivia has issued an arrest warrant for former President Evo Morales, stemming from allegations of a sexual relationship with a minor. Morales, 65, is accused of fathering a child with a 15-year-old girl in 2016, which would constitute statutory rape under Bolivian law.The warrant was issued by Judge Nelson Rocabado after Morales failed to appear in court for a hearing in the southern region of Tarija, where the alleged victim resides.

Morales has vehemently denied the allegations, claiming he’s a victim of “legal warfare” orchestrated by his former ally and current President Luis Arce. Despite his denials, the allegations have sparked widespread outrage and concern, particularly given Morales’ position of power and influence during the alleged incident.

The case has significant implications for Bolivian politics, with many calling for accountability and justice. Morales’ refusal to appear in court has only added fuel to the fire, with many questioning his commitment to transparency and the rule of law. As the situation unfolds, it remains to be seen how the Bolivian justice system will handle the case and whether Morales will ultimately face charges.
