French pastry chefs have showcased their artistic skills by creating stunning chocolate sculptures that sold for over €100,000 at a charity auction in Paris. The event, organized by renowned pastry chef Pierre Herme, featured whimsical creations such as a chocolate clock, a bouquet of white chocolate roses, and a monumental piece made of 495 chocolate eggs adorned with Daum crystal.

The auction, which was a first of its kind worldwide, raised €108,100 for a charity supporting children hospitalized with leukemia. Twenty-five celebrated pastry chefs, including Herme, Patrick Roger, Cyril Lignac, and Nina Metayer, participated in the event. Some of the chefs paired their creations with unique experiences, like private lessons or tasting sessions.

The chocolate sculptures were not only visually stunning but also edible, making them a true treat for the senses. Auctioneer Arnaud Oliveux described the top-level pastry creation as “a kind of culinary art,” highlighting the skill and craftsmanship that went into creating these edible masterpieces.
