MeDirect, Malta’s first digital bank, has outlined its plans for the island following its acquisition by Czech-based Banka CREDITAS. The bank aims to expand its services, focusing on providing a comprehensive suite of products for both retail and corporate customers, allowing them to manage their finances efficiently. With a €60 million investment from Banka CREDITAS, MeDirect plans to accelerate its growth, leveraging its secure digital platform and broad offering of banking, investment, and lending services.

The bank will retain its MeDirect brand and remain committed to serving the Maltese economy. CEO Jean-Claude Maher emphasizes that the partnership with Banka CREDITAS aligns their vision for customer-centric innovation, enabling MeDirect to challenge traditional banking and expand its digital platform across Europe.
