Marco Bezzecchi has made history by winning his fifth consecutive MotoGP race, taking the top spot at the US Grand Prix in Austin, Texas. The Italian rider led all 20 laps, breaking the record for consecutive laps led with 121, surpassing Jorge Lorenzo’s 2015 record of 103. Bezzecchi’s dominant performance secured Aprilia’s first 1-2 finish of the season, with teammate Jorge Martin finishing second and Pedro Acosta rounding out the podium in third.
Bezzecchi’s win marks his third victory of the 2026 season and extends his lead in the championship standings to 81 points, four points ahead of Martin. This impressive streak makes Bezzecchi the first rider since Marc Marquez in 2014 to win the first three grands prix of a season.
