Anġlu Fenech, former head of the General Workers’ Union (GWU), has disclosed that the late Labour leader Dom Mintoff had wanted him to take the helm of the party. Fenech, a prominent figure in Malta’s trade union movement, revealed this in a recent interview, shedding light on a pivotal moment in the country’s political history.
