US President Donald Trump has written to Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere, stating he no longer feels obligated “to think purely of Peace” after not receiving the Nobel Peace Prize. Trump linked this decision to his push for control over Greenland, a territory of Denmark, citing concerns about Russia and China’s influence in the region. “The World is not secure unless we have Complete and Total Control of Greenland,” Trump wrote, questioning Denmark’s ownership and ability to protect the island.

The letter has sparked concerns among European leaders, with the EU warning of a potential trade war and Norway’s Prime Minister Stoere emphasizing the Nobel Committee’s independence. Trump’s move has also been met with resistance from Denmark and Greenland, with leaders insisting the island is not for sale. The situation remains tense, with the EU considering countermeasures, including tariffs on US goods.
