In an unexpected turn of events, stray animals were among those picked up during a police roadblock in the area. The operation, aimed at checking for unlicensed drivers and ensuring road safety, led to the capture of several stray animals roaming the streets. Local animal welfare groups have been informed, and efforts are underway to care for the animals until they’re reunited with their owners or rehomed.
