Arteta believes this move will provide Nwaneri with the regular playing time he needs, citing William Saliba’s successful loan spell at Marseille as a prime example.
Arteta emphasized that Nwaneri’s development is a priority, but the talented young player needs game time to grow. “The talented young players that we have need minutes, and Ethan wasn’t getting enough minutes,” Arteta said. “The last thing we want to do is cut his development because he’s such a talent”.
