Ukraine has announced that it has recaptured two settlements, Kindrashivka and Radkivka, in the northeastern Kharkiv region, as well as several neighborhoods in northern Kupiansk. This comes after Russia claimed to have seized Kupiansk, a key railway hub, last month. Ukrainian forces have pushed Russian troops back, and President Volodymyr Zelensky has visited the area, praising the operation and emphasizing its importance for Ukraine’s diplomatic efforts.
The Khartia army corps reported that the settlements and neighborhoods have been liberated, and Ukrainian forces are now encircling Russian troops in Kupiansk. Russia had previously captured Kupiansk in 2022, but Ukrainian forces retook it later that year. The current situation is part of ongoing efforts to end the nearly four-year war, with Washington pushing Kyiv to make territorial concessions. ¹ ² ³
