Squadron Leader Graeme Muscat, also known as Red 10, is a seasoned pilot with an impressive background in the Royal Air Force. With over 29 years of service, Graeme has flown various aircraft, including the Hawk T2, Tutor, Tucano, and Tornado GR4. As a Qualified Flying Instructor and supervisor for the Red Arrows, Graeme plays a critical role in ensuring the team’s safety and performance.
Graeme’s experience extends beyond flying, having started his career as a Communications System Analyst (Voice) in 1995. He later became a Non-Commissioned Aircrew and progressed through training to join 51 Squadron, RAF Waddington, on the Nimrod. As Red 10, Graeme’s role involves providing support and commentary during displays, showcasing his expertise and passion for flying.
Although it’s unclear if Graeme is preparing for his last performance, his dedication and enthusiasm for the Red Arrows are evident. In a recent interview, Graeme expressed his excitement about a brand-new 50p coin range celebrating the Red Arrows’ 60th Diamond Season, saying, “I think it’s amazing… I can keep that one, right?” This coin range commemorates six decades of the Red Arrows’ thrilling displays and precision flying.
