Israeli airstrikes have killed at least 12 people in Gaza since dawn, with strikes targeting a tent sheltering displaced people in Jabalia and another area in Khan Younis, according to Gaza’s civil defence agency. The Israeli military claims these attacks are in response to ceasefire violations by Hamas. The violence continues despite a US-brokered truce, with both sides blaming each other for the escalation. The Gaza health ministry reports at least 601 people have been killed since the truce began, while Israel says four of its soldiers have been killed in the same period.
