A technical glitch caused widespread disruption for IndiGo passengers, with flights delayed and luggage going missing across India. The outage, which lasted from around 11:30 am to 4:30 pm, affected over 2,000 daily flights, including international routes, leaving thousands stranded at airports like Bengaluru’s Kempegowda Airport and Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. Passengers took to social media to express their frustration, with some comparing airports to railway stations.
In one incident, an IndiGo flight from Mumbai to Istanbul was cancelled after a 10-hour delay due to technical difficulties, stranding hundreds of passengers. The airline provided accommodation, meal vouchers, and full refunds to affected passengers. In another case, an Imphal-bound IndiGo flight returned to Delhi shortly after takeoff due to a minor technical snag, with the airline prioritizing passenger safety.
