The American University of Beirut (AUB) has announced it will operate remotely for the next two days due to threats from Iran’s Revolutionary Guards targeting American universities in the region. AUB President Fadlo Khouri stated that while there’s no evidence of direct threats against the university, they’re taking precautions to ensure safety. Classes and exams will be conducted online, with only essential personnel required on site. This decision comes as tensions escalate between Iran and the US/Israel, with Iran warning of retaliation against US universities if the US doesn’t condemn strikes on Iranian universities.
