The much awaited Cheltenham Festival commences today when the gates open at 10.30 am. The four-day festival begins with Champion Day and more than 200,000 people are expected to attend it.
There will 28 races over the course of 4 days with total prize money of £4.9m. The event will reach its finals on Friday afternoon: The Gold Cup Day.

The Weather
The weather is expected to be dry with no rain, ith maximum temperatures of 8C expected at Cheltenham. BBC Weather has reported that there will light wind and rain on Thursday and Friday.
