The starting lineup for the second Test against Australia by the British and Irish Lions includes Bundee Aki, Ollie Chessum, and Andrew Porter; Sione Tuipulotu, Joe McCarthy, and Ellis Genge have been replaced.
Genge moves to the bench; McCarthy (foot injury) and Tuipulotu (tight hamstring) miss completely. Jac Morgan, James Ryan, Owen Farrell, and Blair Kinghorn are among the many new faces on the bench.
Hugo Keenan, Tommy Freeman, and James Lowe in the back three are still unchanged. In midfield, Huw Jones teams with Aki; Garry Ringrose is sidelined owing to the reappearance of a concussion.
With Maro Itoje captaining alongside Chessum, the all-Irish front row comprises Porter, Dan Sheehan, and Tadhg Furlong. Tadhg Beirne, Tom Curry, and Jack Conan, the back row trio, continue unchanged.
Fallen: Marcus Smith and Ben Earl
Genge, Ryan, Morgan, Farrell, and Kinghorn added to the bench.
Head coach Andy Farrell said, “We have positioned ourselves well after the first Test, but we know Australia will respond. Lions trips are unique because of the chance to play in front of 100,000 at the MCG.
