Lando Norris has taken his Qatar GP pole miss in stride, saying he has “nothing to complain about” after teammate Oscar Piastri snatched the top spot. Norris had looked set to claim pole until he aborted his final lap due to understeer, allowing Piastri to pip him to the post with a 1:19.387 lap time. Despite the disappointment, Norris remains positive, praising Piastri’s performance and acknowledging his own mistake.
“I’m still P2 for tomorrow, so it’s not the end of the world,” Norris said, showing his sportsmanship. With the championship on the line, Norris now starts the Qatar GP from second place, just 22 points ahead of Piastri and 25 points ahead of Max Verstappen. The Briton will be looking to capitalize on his strong qualifying performance and secure his first F1 title.
