Arsenal’s impressive start to the season has seen them extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table, but defender Jurrien Timber is cautioning against complacency. After beating Crystal Palace 1-0, Timber emphasized the importance of staying grounded and not getting too carried away with their current success. “It is good to stay neutral, and not to get too high,” he said. “Obviously, we’ve been doing well, but it’s still early in the season, and we just have to keep getting better game by game.”
Timber’s warning comes after Arsenal’s seventh consecutive victory in all competitions, which puts them six points ahead of Manchester City and seven points ahead of reigning English champions Liverpool. The Gunners’ strong form has reignited hopes among fans that they could finally end their two-decade wait for a Premier League title, last won in the 2003/04 season. However, Timber is focused on the present, highlighting the tough games ahead, including a League Cup match against Brighton and a Premier League game against Burnley. “So, let’s keep our feet on the ground and keep working hard, and then from there, we’ll see what happens,” he added.
