Dynamo Kyiv outclassed Hamrun Spartans 3-0 in the first leg of the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League. The match, held at the MFA Centenary Stadium in Ta’ Qali, saw Dynamo Kyiv’s superior performance from the start. Vladyslav Vanat opened the scoring in the 13th minute with a clinical finish after a swift attacking move. Despite some early promise from Hamrun Spartans, Dynamo Kyiv maintained control and were rewarded with a second goal in the 76th minute, courtesy of Vitaliy Buyalskyy’s composed finish.
The Maltese side struggled to create significant chances, while Dynamo Kyiv continued to press and create opportunities. Nazar Voloshyn sealed the win with a goal in the closing stages of the game, netting the third goal for Dynamo Kyiv in the 90th minute. With this dominant performance, Dynamo Kyiv takes a significant step towards the next round, leaving Hamrun Spartans with an uphill task to turn the tie around.
The return leg is scheduled for July 29, 2025, in Lublin, Poland, where Dynamo Kyiv will look to build on their advantage and progress to the next stage of the competition.
