Fabio Di Giannantonio has taken pole position for the Brazilian Grand Prix, edging out Marco Bezzecchi and Marc Marquez in a crash-filled qualifying session. The Italian rider, who had to come through the first qualifying session, seized his first pole since 2022 with a lap time of 1:17.410. Bezzecchi, who won the season-opener at Buriram, qualified second, while Marquez, bidding for a record-equalling eighth top-class world title, took third despite crashing during qualifying.
The session was marked by chaos, with several big names, including Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia, crashing at Turn 4, a notorious trouble spot on the Goiania circuit. Di Giannantonio himself went down at the same corner in the closing stages, but his earlier time was enough to secure pole position. The VR46 rider will start the sprint race and Grand Prix from the front row, alongside Bezzecchi and Marquez.
