Eight teams from three continents are still chasing the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 trophy as the competition enters quarterfinals level.

Following an exhilarating round of 16 games including extratime drama, unexpected surprises, and strong triumphs, the ultimate eight teams have been announced. Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund were the last to ensure their places in what promises to be a high-stakes knockout round.

Quarterfinal 1: Fluminense vs Al Hilal

Brazilian historic club Fluminense and Saudi Arabian power Al Hilal come together in this conflict. One of the greatest surprises in tournament history, Al Hilal arrives on the heels of a spectacular 43 extratime victory over reigning champions Manchester City. Conversely, with a strong 20 victory, Fluminense defeated Inter Milan, setting the stage for a passionate and highly contested game.

Quarterfinal 2: Palmeiras vs Chelsea

Date: Friday, July 4
Time: 9pm local (01:00 GMT, July 5)
Venue: Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Known for their defensive prowess, Palmeiras—the 2021 Club World Cup winners—meet Chelsea. Following a fierce victory over Botafogo, Palmeiras advanced while Chelsea are attempting to make up for a bad domestic season. First semifinal will see the winner match the victor of Fluminense versus Al Hilal.

Quarterfinal 3: Paris Saint-Germain vs Bayern Munich

Date: Saturday, July 5
Time: 12pm local (16:00 GMT)
Venue: Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, Georgia

In what is possibly the most awaited quarterfinal match, two European giants face off. Chasing a record-breaking season quad, PSG play against Bayern Munich, who now shares the tournament’s top scorer with 16 goals. Expect a high octane combat between attacking powerhouses in front of a packed 75,000 seat stadium.

Quarterfinal 4: Real Madrid vs Borussia Dortmund

Date: Saturday, July 5
Time: 4pm local (20:00 GMT)
Venue: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey

Record Club World Cup winners Real Madrid meet Borussia Dortmund in a re-match of the 2024 UEFA Champions League final. Star forward Kylian Mbappé has been welcomed back by Madrid, who want to capitalise on his return to shape. Boasting 88,000 seats, MetLife Stadium will welcome what is expected to be a blockbuster tie; it will also be hosting the 2026 FIFA World Cup final. In the second semifinal, the winner will meet either Bayern or PSG.
