In a shocking turn of events, a US Capitol rioter who was recently pardoned by Donald Trump was killed in a police stop. Matthew Huttle, 42, was shot dead by a deputy officer during a traffic stop in Indiana on January 26. According to state police, Huttle was armed and an altercation took place between him and the officer, resulting in the officer firing his weapon and fatally wounding Huttle.
This incident comes on the heels of Trump’s decision to pardon over 1,500 individuals involved in the Capitol riots, including Huttle.
