As autumn sets in, the weather is expected to become more unpredictable, bringing a mix of sunshine and rain. According to recent forecasts, Wednesday is likely to see increased cloud coverage in the mountains and inland areas, leading to isolated showers in the afternoon. This change in weather pattern is characterized by variable and mild winds, becoming predominantly southwesterly to westerly and mild to moderate.
The temperature is expected to rise to around 30 degrees Celsius inland, while coastal areas will experience slightly cooler temperatures, ranging from 22 to 28 degrees Celsius. The sea will be smooth to slight, making it suitable for various water activities.
In other regions, such as Kashmir, recent rains have brought relief from the intense heat wave conditions. The weather department has forecast intense showers at some places in the valley over the next 36 hours, with a possibility of flash floods, landslides, and waterlogging in low-lying areas.
Similarly, in Gurgaon, a recent intense spell of showers brought the city to its knees, causing waterlogging and traffic jams. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast partly cloudy skies with the possibility of one or two spells of rain or thundershowers till August 5.
