Kate Winslet is beaming with pride after her directorial debut, ‘Goodbye June’, premiered in London. The Oscar-winning actress directed the heartwarming Christmas drama, which is written by her 21-year-old son, Joe Anders. The film follows a family coming together as their mother, June, played by Helen Mirren, faces a devastating health crisis.
Winslet expressed her excitement and pride, saying, “I was so impressed by it and loved the dialogue — it was just phenomenal”. She also shared that working with her son was a unique experience, and they’re looking forward to sharing their creation with the world.
‘Goodbye June’ hits select UK and US theaters on December 12 and will be available on Netflix starting Christmas Eve, December 24. The film boasts an impressive cast, including Toni Collette, Andrea Riseborough, Johnny Flynn, and Timothy Spall.
