Helen Micallef, the Maltese singer who represented Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest 1972 alongside Joe Cutajar, has sadly passed away at the age of 75. The duo performed the song “L-imħabba” and finished last with 48 points. Micallef had a rich music career, starting at age 10 and participating in various music festivals, including the Sopot International Music Festival. She also attempted to represent Malta again in the Eurovision national final in 1992. Her brother, Renato Micallef, also represented Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest 1975.
