The Ministry for Women’s Support (MFWS) has launched a proactive campaign in schools to combat cyberbullying and promote safe internet navigation among students. This initiative aims to empower young minds with the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and address online harassment. At the heart of the campaign is the distribution of 80,000 flashcards bearing uplifting messages and practical advice, serving as a constant reminder to students of their worth, resilience, and the importance of seeking help when faced with cyberbullying.

The campaign seeks to educate students on identifying and reporting cyberbullying, encourage empathy and kindness online, foster a culture of inclusivity and respect, provide resources for support and counseling, and promote healthy digital habits and online safety. By targeting schools, MFWS recognizes the critical role educators play in shaping students’ attitudes and behaviors, and teachers will integrate the campaign’s message into their curriculum.

The initiative has received widespread support from educators, parents, and stakeholders. MFWS will monitor progress, collaborate with experts to stay updated on cyberbullying trends, engage parents and guardians through workshops and resources, and evaluate the campaign’s impact through surveys and feedback. Through this proactive approach, MFWS aims to create a culture of kindness, empathy, and responsibility among Malta’s youth, ensuring they thrive in an increasingly digital world.

By empowering students to navigate the digital landscape confidently and responsibly, MFWS hopes to create a safer, more compassionate online community. This campaign marks a significant step forward in addressing cyberbullying and promoting online well-being, and its impact will be felt across Malta’s educational landscape. As the campaign unfolds, MFWS remains committed to fostering a supportive environment where students can grow, learn, and flourish.
