North Texas was hit by early morning storms on saturday and it left thousands without power even after the next day.
Many including thousands of Texan households and businesses were without power at the peak of the storm after it moved through North Texas. The area experienced strong winds and hail. The deputies responded to multiple reports of overturned RVs and semi-trucks, downed trees and powerlines as well as injuries sustained by residents due to damage to their homes
Over 7,000 people across the state were without power during the storm’s peak and according to the Oncor’s outage map, most of the residents were from Ellis County. By the next morning, more than 1,000 North Texans were still without electricity. Oncor responded to this.
“The vast majority of the remaining outages are located across the Waxahachie and Ennis areas, which experienced the most significant and damaging wind and hail impacts,” Oncor said in a statement. “Restoration is expected to be substantially completed by late Saturday, with the remaining and most complex outages restored Sunday.”
