RS2 Financial Services’ innovation arm, Beyond by RS2, has achieved a significant milestone by gaining principal issuing member status with Mastercard and Visa in Europe. This designation grants the company full rights to launch and manage payment card programs directly, enabling it to offer a range of card products, including credit, debit, commercial, and prepaid cards, in both digital and physical forms.
With this new status, Beyond by RS2 can provide BIN sponsorship, allowing businesses to introduce branded or co-branded card programs without needing a license. The company will offer comprehensive management of programs, addressing aspects like branded card creation, customer service, fraud monitoring, and regulatory compliance.
CEO Jens Mahlke stated that achieving principal issuing member status marks an exciting new chapter for Beyond by RS2, enabling the company to support businesses in establishing and expanding card programs. This move positions Beyond by RS2 as a fully integrated payments partner, combining issuing, acquiring, and processing services within a regulated environment.
