Maltese progressive rock pioneers Colourblind have marked a major milestone with the release of their new single, “Jekyll & Hyde”, after a 10-year hiatus. This powerful track signifies the beginning of an exciting new era for the band, who have been recharging and reinventing themselves since their last release, “Timbru”, in 2015. With a refreshed lineup, featuring vocalist Elisa Ellul, who brought a new energy and creative direction, and Nenad Kopanja on bass and backing vocals, Colourblind has returned with a bang.

“Jekyll & Hyde” showcases the band’s mature and revitalized sound, balancing intensity and melody, chaos and control. The track explores the duality of human nature in a raw and evocative style, with Ellul’s hauntingly powerful vocals taking center stage. The artwork for the single was also created by Ellul, reflecting the band’s hands-on approach to their artistic vision. This release is more than just a comeback – it’s a declaration of Colourblind’s evolution, reinvention, and resilience.

The band’s history dates back to 1998, founded by brothers Alistair Galea on lead guitar and Shaun Galea on drums. Over the years, Colourblind has built a loyal following with their emotionally driven compositions and intricate arrangements. Fans can now experience “Jekyll & Hyde” on Colourblind’s official YouTube channel, and it’s clear that this new chapter is off to a thrilling start.
