The Cabinet has approved a legal notice formally designating White Rocks as a national park, marking a major step toward protecting one of the area’s most valued natural and coastal landscapes.
The decision puts White Rocks under official national park status, which means it will now be managed with stronger conservation rules aimed at preserving its unique rock formations, marine habitats, and surrounding biodiversity. Government officials said the move reflects a commitment to balancing public access with environmental protection, ensuring the site can be enjoyed by future generations while safeguarding its ecological importance.
Under the new designation, activities within the park will be regulated to prevent overdevelopment and environmental damage. Authorities plan to work with local communities, environmental groups, and tourism stakeholders to create management plans that cover conservation, visitor facilities, and education programs.
